National Teachers' Award 2026

  • Forty-eight teachers from across the country have been selected for the National Teachers' Award 2026.

  • This day marks the birth anniversary of the country's second President and eminent educationist, Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan.
  • He was born on September 5, 1888. The purpose of Teachers' Day is to acknowledge and honor the contributions and vital role of teachers within the education system.
  • Among the 48 teachers selected for the National Teachers' Award, there are 26 men and 22 women.
  • These teachers have been selected from 27 states, 7 Union Territories, and 6 central government organizations.
  • The selection process for the award was completed following evaluations at three levels: district, state, and national.
