UEFA Champions League, 2026

  • Munich and Barcelona have been selected to host upcoming UEFA Champions League finals.
  • The UEFA Executive Committee made this decision during a meeting held in Thessaloniki, Greece, on September 15, 2026. Accordingly, the 2028 final will be held at Munich's Allianz Arena, while the 2029 final will take place at Barcelona's Camp Nou.
  • Camp Nou opened in 1957 and serves as the home ground for the club. The return of the Champions League final to the venue in 2029 will mark the event's comeback after nearly three decades.
  • The historic stadium previously hosted the final in 1999.
  • Currently, Camp Nou is undergoing major redevelopment. Once the project—underway since 2023—is completed, the stadium's proposed capacity will reach approximately 105,000 spectators.
  • With this, Camp Nou is expected to be transformed into one of Europe's premier modern football stadiums.
