New Chief Scientific Adviser to the Government of India

• The Government of India appointed renowned physicist Ajay Kumar Sood as the principal scientific advisor.

• He will be appointed to this post for three years.

• He is presently working as Honorary Professor in the Department of Physics at the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore.

• He was awarded the Padma Shri in 2013.

• In this post he joined the famous biologist K. Vijay will replace Raghavan.
