New Director General Of Military Operations

• Lt Gen Manoj Kumar Katiyar has been appointed as the next Director General of Military Operations of the Indian Army.

• He will take over the new post on May 1, 2022.

• Lt Gen Manoj Kumar has also been awarded the Ati Vishisht Seva Medal (AVSM) for his efficient military administration and successful strategies.

• He was commissioned into the 23rd Battalion of the Rajput Regiment in June 1986.

• He will succeed Lt Gen BS Raju.
