- US President Joe Biden has named Indian-American diplomat Rachna Sachdev Korhonen as his ambassador to Mali.
- He currently serves as the Deputy Assistant Secretary and Executive Director of the Joint Executive Bureau for Near Eastern Affairs and the South and Central Asian Bureau of the US State Department.
- Prior to this, she has served as Consul General and Principal Officer at the US Consulate in Dharan, Saudi Arabia.
- He headed the Management Cell of the US Embassy in Colombo and has also served as a Special Assistant to the Under Secretary of Management in Washington.
