- Former Union Finance Secretary and Revenue Secretary Hasmukh Adhia has been appointed as the Chairman of GIFT City Limited.
- He has also been appointed as the director and chairman of the board of state public sector undertakings Gujarat Alkalies and Chemicals Limited (GACL) and Gujarat Mineral Development Corporation Limited (GMDC) with immediate effect.
- He is an IAS officer of 1981 batch and is currently serving as an advisor to the Chief Minister of Gujarat, Bhupendra Patel.
- He was also part of the panel constituted by the Gujarat government to recommend measures for the post-Covid economic revival of the state.
