• As part of the ICC Awards 2023, the International Cricket Council (ICC) announced the five ICC Teams of the Year across all formats for men and women.

• Chamari Athapaththu was named captain of the ICC Women's ODI Team of the Year. She was also named captain of the Women's T20I Team of the Year.

• Suryakumar Yadav has been named captain of the ICC Men's T20I Team of the Year.
