Megong Festival 2024

• Meghalaya is hosting the two-day Megong Festival 2024 from 29 November 2024.

• The festival is named after the Megong flower. The flower blooms in abundance in the Garo Hills.

• The festival celebrates Garo culture, including folk dances, indigenous games, music, handloom and handicrafts, and authentic cuisine.

• The event aims to unite local communities, artists, tourists, and artisans and promote inter-cultural dialogue.
