•  On January 26, the inaugural Women's Hockey India League title was won by Odisha Warriors who prevailed over JSW Soorma Hockey Club in a hard-fought 2-1 final in Ranchi.

• The 5,000-seat capacity Marang Gomke Jaipal Singh Stadium hosted the final of the inaugural season of the world's only professional women's hockey league.

• Displaying her exceptional performance, Rutuja Dadaso Pisal scored two goals for the Warriors in the 20th and 56th minutes in the final.
