INS 'Tavsya' commissioned at Goa Shipyard

  • Stealth frigate INS ‘Tavsya’ commissioned by Indian Navy at Goa Shipyard.
  • The Krivak-class stealth frigates have been contracted from Russia and built at Goa Shipyard Limited (GSL).
  • The first of the two frigates, Triput, was launched at GSL in July last year.
  • Triput and Tavsya have a large percentage of indigenous equipment, weapons and sensors.
  • As per the schedule, GSL is set to deliver the first ship to the Indian Navy in 2026 and the second ship six months later.
