• The conference focused on the preparedness of the Indian Navy and maritime security challenges.

• Defence Minister Rajnath Singh inaugurated the conference in Karwar.

• The Defence Minister flagged off IOS Sagar in Karwar.

• He also inaugurated nine marine jetties, eight residential buildings and necessary infrastructure under Project Seabird.
