- The 17th edition of the India-Mongolia joint military exercise Nomadic Elephant 2025 was inaugurated at the Special Forces Training Centre in Ulaanbaatar on May 31, 2025.
- The military exercise will continue till June 13, 2025, marking another milestone in bilateral defence ties.
- The inaugural ceremony was attended by Ambassador of India to Mongolia Atul Malhari Gotsurve and Major General Lkhagvasuren Ganselam from the Mongolian side.
- The exercise is being hosted by India and Mongolia on a rotational basis and the last edition was held in July 2024 at Umroi in Meghalaya.
- The Indian contingent comprises 45 personnel of the Arunachal Scouts while Mongolia is being represented by 150 Special Forces Unit.
