ICICI's new Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer

• The ICICI Bank board has approved the reappointment of Sandeep Bakhshi as Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer until 2028.

• This reappointment has been approved for a period of two years, commencing October 4, 2026, and ending October 3, 2028.

• This reappointment is subject to approval from the RBI and the shareholders. Bakhshi has been leading the bank since 2018.

• He assumed the role of Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer in October 2018.

• According to the ICICI Bank board, this reappointment is in line with the RBI's Commercial Banks: Governance Guidelines, 2025.

• ICICI Bank is the second-largest private sector lender in the country. It is headquartered in Mumbai and has its registered office in Vadodara.
