25th Foundation Day of the National Scheduled Tribes Finance and Development Corporation

• The National Scheduled Tribes Finance and Development Corporation (NSTFDC) celebrated its Foundation Day in New Delhi on April 10.

• Union Minister of Tribal Affairs Jual Oram and Minister of State for Tribal Affairs Durga Das Uikey attended the event.

• As part of the Foundation Day celebrations, the NSTFDC felicitated successful Scheduled Tribe entrepreneurs from across the country who have established successful and sustainable enterprises using financial assistance received under various government schemes.

• The National Scheduled Tribes Finance and Development Corporation is an apex body established in 2001 under the Ministry of Tribal Affairs.

• Its primary objective is the economic upliftment of Scheduled Tribes by providing financial assistance for sustainable income-generating livelihood activities.
