  • At the swearing-in ceremony held at the Raj Bhavan in Bhubaneswar, the Chief Justice of the Odisha High Court, Chakradhari Sharan Singh, administered the oath to him.
  • He succeeded Raghubar Das in this post, who had resigned from his position.
  • Hari Babu Kambhampati had previously served as the Governor of Mizoram.
  • His appointment was made by President Droupadi Murmu on December 24, 2024.
