Hari Babu Kambhampati becomes the 27th Governor of Odisha

• On January 3, 2025, Hari Babu Kambhampati took the oath of office and secrecy as the 27th Governor of Odisha.

• At the swearing-in ceremony held at the Raj Bhavan in Bhubaneswar, the Chief Justice of the Odisha High Court, Chakradhari Sharan Singh, administered the oath to him.

• He succeeded Raghubar Das in this post, who had resigned from his position.

• Hari Babu Kambhampati had previously served as the Governor of Mizoram.

• His appointment was made by President Droupadi Murmu on December 24, 2024.

• Given his extensive political and administrative experience, it is anticipated that he will provide a new direction to the administrative affairs of Odisha.
