- Under the ‘Khet Bachao Abhiyan’ (Save the Farm Campaign) being conducted by the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR), soil health, balanced fertilizer usage, and sustainable farming are being promoted.
- As part of the campaign, 12,979 awareness camps have been organized to date, engaging 7.17 lakh farmers.
- 1.11 lakh participants took part in 3,145 training programs.
- 7,928 demonstrations were conducted on green manure, bio-fertilizers, and organic farming. Additionally, widespread awareness was disseminated by involving Panchayat representatives, fertilizer dealers, and farmer organizations.
- Through digital and media publicity, the campaign reached 2.71 crore people.
- Its primary objective is to reduce dependence on chemical fertilizers by promoting soil-test-based nutrient management.
