• Rajasthan's first semiconductor cluster was inaugurated on May 15, 2026, in Bhiwadi, Alwar district.

• This facility has been established within the Electronics Manufacturing Cluster located at Salarpur-Khushkhera and was launched by Sahasra Semiconductors Pvt Ltd.

• Semiconductors are materials used in electronic devices to control the flow of electric current.

• They form the fundamental basis of the chips utilized in computers, mobile phones, automobiles, and industrial systems.

• India's semiconductor ecosystem encompasses processes such as design, fabrication, assembly, testing, marking, and packaging.

• Within this ecosystem, ATMP (Assembly, Testing, Marking, and Packaging) and OSAT (Outsourced Semiconductor Assembly and Test) units constitute a critical component of the downstream manufacturing chain.
