• India delivered a stellar performance to clinch a historic bronze medal at the AVC Men's Volleyball Cup 2026.

• In this prestigious Asian competition, held in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, from June 20 to 28, 2026, the Indian team defeated Bahrain 3–1 in the third-place play-off on June 28, securing a spot on the tournament podium for the first time.

• This marked the first time India hosted the competition, adding a new milestone to the history of Indian volleyball.

• In the bronze medal match played at the Veer Savarkar Sports Complex in Ahmedabad, India defeated Bahrain with set scores of 25–23, 23–25, 25–21, and 25–17.

• Played before an audience of approximately 2,500 spectators, the match saw the Indian players perform brilliantly under pressure to secure the victory.
