Karnataka declared 'Naxal free' state

  • Karnataka's last Naxal Lakshmi surrendered and the state is now declared 'Naxal free'.
  • Lakshmi will get a 'surrender package' of Rs 7 lakh.
  • She is entitled to get this amount as she falls in 'A' category for surrender.
  • Three cases are registered against Lakshmi in Udupi district. After surrendering, she appealed to the authorities to free her from the charges.
