  • The day has been celebrated since 2014 by the United Nations programme UNAIDS, whose symbol is the butterfly, a symbol of change and transformation.
  • This year, the theme of Zero Discrimination Day is "We stand together", highlighting the role of communities and their vital involvement in the HIV response.
